The Nature Conservancy’s Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program and St. Lawrence and Eastern Lake Ontario PRISM are looking for a Conservation and GIS Analyst with these skills. The Conservation and GIS Analyst is a full-time position. The successful candidate will oversee GIS and other relational database programs and provide technical support for PRISM staff. Some job duties include but are not limited to, designing field survey and collection tools, data visualization, and report curation.

Description:  

Tukman Geospatial is hiring a qualified candidate to support numerous vegetation mapping projects in California.  As a GIS Analyst I, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission to provide accurate and actionable vegetation maps for natural resource management in California. 

The candidate will use ArcGIS to edit vegetation maps using aerial imagery and other GIS datasets as reference.  The position also includes some field validation work, including GPS data collection and on-site verification of vegetation types, to corroborate map accuracy.  Other responsibilities include some cartography and GIS data processing tasks including data conversion and QA/QC.
