About the Website Committee

The SCGIS website committee is responsible for the technical management, design, and continuous operation of the society's official web presence. The committee's work extends beyond site maintenance to the core of organizational operations, as it manages the integrated membership database and ensures the stability of the underlying web infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting complex technical issues related to membership renewals, payment processing for dues and conferences, and maintaining a secure environment for member data.

Acting as a central technical hub, the committee interfaces directly with hosting services and specialized vendors while collaborating closely with the Membership and Communications committees. By coordinating the design and functionality of the site, the committee ensures that the SCGIS website remains a reliable, authoritative platform for conservation practitioners worldwide to share content and access professional resources.
